Suzuki Intruder 150
Since 1985 a series of cruiser motorcycles named Suzuki Intruder had been built. Back then the Intruder class of motorcycles came with heavy machines.
Such as the Suzuki Intruder m109RZ, Intruder C1800R, VS750 Intruder and the list goes on.
Suzuki brought down to compete with Harley Davidson and other cruisers in the market.
A year back Suzuki decided to present Suzuki Intruder 150, a smaller version to include in the Intruder family.
Suzuki Intruder 150 Looks
Assuming your love for big looks, you would definitely mark a presence on the road with the Intruder 150. The bike takes the looks from its predecessor Suzuki Intruder M1800R.
The Suzuki Intruder 150 comes with LED projector headlamps, provided even Indicators and Tail lamp are LED.
The bike owns a massive tank but sadly can only accommodate 11 litres of storage capacity. Talking about the Speedometer, Suzuki has housed Intruder 150 with the same console as the Suzuki Gixxer 155 (All Digital).
Suzuki Intruder 150 Performance
The Suzuki Intruder holds the same 155cc Air Cooled engine from the Gixxer. The bike is equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP).
The motorcycle has a smooth 5-Speed manual transmission. Punching out a maximum power of 14.8 hp (horsepower) and a maximum torque of 14 Nm.
You might notice a small Wind Deflector which is quite helpful to minimize the wind from reaching the rider’s face. Especially when you start cruising beyond 80 kmph.
The Intruder 150 boasts a new Monoshock with a 7-Step adjustable switch. Suzuki has featured its bike front disc with Single Channel Anti Braking System (ABS).
Suzuki Intruder 150 Comfort
As the Bike is competing with Bajaj Avenger 150. To be honest the Suzuki Intruder 150 is quite comfortable than the Avenger. The handling and ride quality is quite impressive.
The Intruder seems to be quite shock-absorbent on rough terrain or bigger potholes.
Surprisingly the Suzuki Intruder takes dazzling corners. Higher footpegs being one hell of a reason to make it possible.
The motorcycle even feels light at low speed making it traffic friendly. Front tyre is tubeless and rear tyres being radial tubeless.
Suzuki Intruder 150 vs Bajaj Avenger 150 – Comparison
Suzuki has got down to compete with the most affordable entry class cruise, The Bajaj Avenger 150.
The Intruder 150 has got a flashy Iced outlook while the avenger appears quite outdated.
Both the motorcycles hold the same 150cc engine configuration. But Bajaj Avenger is equipped with Air-cooling which might help in taking continuous longer trips.
The Suzuki Intruder 150 gets a Single Channel ABS system on the front disc.
Making it the only bike in this segment and budget with Single channelled ABS. Considering Intruder to be Rs.20,000 more expensive than the avenger.
You can feel the power when you rev through the Intruder. Talking about the body, the giant bodywork is outsized as compared to the skinny tyres provided by Suzuki. The Company claims the mileage to be 45kmpl while it gives around 40kmpl in the city.
The Suzuki Intruder 150 sports Dual Exhausts which is little big and bulged out. You might face a tinge of a problem when you are in traffic. The Intruder comes with both carburettor and Fuel Injection (FI) systems.
There is a lot of useless weight elements used for highlighted looks.
Suzuki Intruder can cruise at a top speed of 115kmph. The bike is priced at Rs. 98,340 (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
