The Yezdi Roadster 2025 entered the market with promises of refinement, a new Alpha2 engine, and design tweaks to fix long-standing complaints. As someone who couldn’t resist the brand’s heritage, I signed up for a test ride. The initial thrill was real—riding out felt like reliving the Yezdi legend. But after a few kilometres, I can say this: while the 2025 Roadster looks fresh, some of the old problems stubbornly remain.

First Impressions of the 2025 Design

Yezdi clearly invested in making the Roadster 2025 stand out. The retro-bobber stance, factory kits, modular seating, and cosmetic details give it a unique street presence. Compared to the older model, this 2025 Roadster feels more premium and customizable. It’s still a head-turner, no arguments there.

The big talking point was the Alpha2 engine. On paper, it’s a step forward—29.1 PS, smoother mapping, and revised suspension. On highways, it does deliver: the engine feels lively, overtakes are effortless, and stability at triple-digit speeds inspires confidence.

But here’s the twist: refinement is still lacking. Riders admit “the engine never feels lazy,” yet vibrations creep in past mid-RPMs. Gear shifts, especially from first to second, remain notchy. The stiff clutch continues to trouble city riders. And while heating is better managed in open stretches, one Rider noted, “Hot air flow to your right leg feels like a never-ending affair in traffic.”

In short, Yezdi fixed some rough edges, but the Roadster 2025 still doesn’t match the polished smoothness of rivals like the Honda H’ness CB350 and the RE Classic 350.

The dual personality of the Roadster 2025 is clearly evident. In the city, the flaws dominate—frequent gear shifts, loud radiator noise, and 25–29 kmpl mileage that feels low compared to Royal Enfield’s 33+ kmpl. But take it out on the highway, and it redeems itself. Owners praise it as a “competent touring weapon,” capable of long, fatigue-free rides. The seat strikes a balance, and the bike masks speed well. If your riding is mostly on open roads, this bike will deliver joy.

Service & Reliability

Here’s where Yezdi’s past haunts the 2025 Roadster. After-sales service remains inconsistent. Some centers are helpful, but too many stories highlight delays, unresolved repairs, and expensive spares. One rider shared, “The bike was submitted for repair more than 8 times, and the problem resurfaced each time.”

Should You Buy One?

If looks, power, and heritage matter more than refinement, you’ll love it. It’s a head-turner, a highway companion, and an enthusiast’s machine. But if smoothness, reliability, and hassle-free service are top priorities, competitors like the Honda H’ness CB350 may serve you better.

As NDTV’s auto review summed it up: the Yezdi “outpaces rivals in flat-out performance, but lags behind in refinement and reliability.”

For me, it’s a mix of pride and frustration. I love the way it looks and rides on highways. But in traffic, every time the radiator screams and the heat kicks in, I can’t help but think: the engine still feels unrefined
